NEW COLLECTION — CYME // SS17

CYME Collection — SS17 Lookbook — OHLINA | Contemporary 3D Printed Fine Jewellery

Hello, everyone! Our new collection is finally here — we are so happy to be finally releasing CYME — a collection of sculptural fine jewellery, because who doesn't love some shiny goodness!

After a long journey of perfecting the details with the material and the technology, it was definitely worth the extra wait! As you might already know, OHLINA is a creative studio with expertise in 3D printing technology and digital design. And while our process is driven by the digital techniques from modelling to printing, we maintain our efforts of combining the making process with traditional craftsmanship. Here is what we have done with the CYME collection — it uses an indirect printing method at the start of the design process (read more about the different types of printing here), before our traditional hands are brought on board to start the actual making of the piece from traditional casting to the finishing of the piece. Our jewellery is handmade with a personality and made to build your own story — you'll want to keep them in constant rotation, or perhaps just never taken off!

Let me introduce you with the meaning of CYME — it is defined as a botanical term, where the central stem that holds an undeveloped bud that bulges and swells at the tip of the sprout. Inspired by the idea of beauty from the curvature of plant growth — the collection extracts and abstracts this delicate silhouette and its surface subtleties of folds and volumes into a timeless natural style that is designed to integrate into anyone's style and fit any occasion.

I will leave you with a few of our favourites from our lookbook photoshoot — but be sure to check out the full lookbook HEREDon't forget to have a look at the full collection HERE
