My Precious Plastics — International 3D Printed Jewellery Design Competition — myThing x OHLINA

My Precious Plastics 3D Printed Jewellery Design Competition — OHLINA | Digital Artisans of Contemporary Jewellery

Exciting news for all you designers, architects and design enthusiasts out there! Now is your chance to create a piece of 3D-printed jewellery!

It’s a great honour to be one of the international judges for this exciting 3D Printed Jewellery Design Competition with the Austrian based design start-up: myThing.

“My Precious Plastics” celebrates the beauty and diversity of design with 3D Printing technology — in conjunction to realign and expand the perception of "precious" fine jewellery that moves beyond the traditional precious metal material. While older generations define jewellery by its material, the younger generations define jewellery as a personal statement. Hence, the brief to this competition is to purely celebrate the “precious” as a design response of expressive and unique design with SLS nylon printing.

Open to everyone around the globe with three categories: Finger, Neck & Wrist. Each designer can upload a maximum of 3 different designs for each category to increase their chance to win the money prize and for their designs to be printed and sold on the myThing store!

Registration is now open and the closing date is Sunday 10th September 2017. Check out the link to the design brief:

Good luck to you all and I look forward to see your designs!
